Dr. Andrawis received his medical degree from Ain Shams University Medical School in Cairo in 1976 and his PhD degree from Wayne State University in Detroit in 1988. He then received training at Harvard and Brown Universities for 6 years. He moved to the Washington area in 1994 to become an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at Georgetown University.
Over the years, he has received many awards and has published numerous scientific articles in the medical field. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is licensed to practice medicine in Virginia and Washington, D.C.
